Happy St Patrick’s Day! I love holidays. All of them. Like flag day, national chocolate chip cookie day, celebrity’s birthdays. Let’s just say I like to celebrate. Or maybe it’s just a reason to make special food and play games. Either way it’s St Patrick’s day so we get to make special food and play games! I’ve got a little activity for you and your kiddos to kick this little holiday off.
I made up a simple leprechaun scavenger hunt with a free printable for you. I set it up for my kids in the morning and have them the first clue with their breakfast (I’ll be posting my St Patrick’s Day breakfast ideas later this week). The clues are pretty self explanatory (hopefully) but I’ll do a little run down for you:
1st clue (at breakfast):
2nd clue (by their toothbrush)
3rd clue (in the bathtub)
4th clue (in their bed)
5th clue (by the tv)
The Jackpot (on the front door)
I made a poster board rainbow that was so expertly crafted with crayons. Then I picked up a tiny black bucket from the dollar store and filled it with chocolate gold coins and set it on the doorstep under the rainbow. The gold coins were kind of an obvious way to do it but you could fill the pot with anything heart desired. Or whatever you have lying around.
I would love to hear some of the fun thing you have planned for St Patrick’s day!
