A few ideas for a festive St Patrick’s Day breakfast or bunch. Simple, easy, and only semi-homemade. An easy way to celebrate this holiday.
In my last post I mentioned that I love to celebrate ALL of the holidays even the little ones. Well, here is the St Patrick’s Day breakfast that I promised. I don’t believe that there’s such a thing as going overboard when it comes to holidays.
Food is the best part of almost any holiday so that is obviously my main focus here. I put together a fruit rainbow like the ones that have been floating around Pinterest and my boys DEVOURED IT. I also made up some shamrock orange rolls that turned out better than expected! If any one is interested in the recipe comment below and I’ll send it your way. My pitcher is just filled with water and limes with green ice cubes. I sprinkled some M&Ms down the middle for munching and viola! You’ve got yourself a St Patty’s day breakfast.
But here’s some real life for you. I was so excited to set up this little brunch that I completely forgot to invite anyone to it. So after we set it all up and took pictures my boys and I took it outside and ate it because I didn’t want to have to wash the tablecloth. (Which I probably should have ironed…Sorry mom).
Anyway, here are the details on my tablescape:
- Flowers: Dollar Tree
- Plates: Dollar Tree
- Pom Pom Banner: Dollar Tree (are you seeing a trend here?)
- Green Packaging String: Zurcher’s
- Tablecloth: Target
- Food Stand: Target (well it’s actually a plate
- ]on top of a bowl. Cool trick right? Thanks Mom)
- Mint M&Ms: Target
- Chargers: I made these! I’ll put a tutorial up soon.
So there you have it! Just a few ideas and inspiration if your hosting a get-together or just want to have a special breakfast with your littles. What are you doing to make St Patty’s day fun??
