  1. Preheat 375 degrees (to two open pie crusts)
  2. Sift together flour and salt
  3. Cut in shortening with a pastry blender and set aside
  4. In a small bowl whisk together egg, water (be sure that water is cold!)
  5. Slowly add the egg mixture into the flour/shortening mixture. You WILL NOT need to add the whole mixture. It usually takes about half. When the dough can form a ball you’ve added enough.
  6. Roll out the dough about as thick
