Sometimes the simplest things are the tastiest things. Case in point: these rolls. Start with approximately 2 minutes of hands on time and then just wait while your house fills with the aroma of fresh baked rolls. I’m telling you, there’s nothing better.
This recipe uses frozen dinner rolls but don’t let that turn you off. I will be the first one to say: I really don’t like frozen dinner rolls. There’s always so much air and so little bread in them and the flavor is quite bland. HOWEVER, something about the steam in the slow cooker compresses the air to make it a little more dense (but not too much). I also cover the rolls with butter and sea salt while they’re cooking. This really infuses the bread with flavor. Problem(s) solved .
I wanted to hurry and get the recipe to you before Thanksgiving to free up a little oven space for you. Am I the only one that has a problem with needing 17 ovens on Thanksgiving? I need to invest in a few more slow cookers and make all of my Thanksgiving sides in them. That should work right?
Have a happy November!
